Chetan Garg

Chetan Garg is a distinguished litigator with extensive experience representing clients before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Tribunals, and Appellate Tribunals. His practice encompasses landmark constitutional matters, electricity and regulatory sector cases involving power generating companies & licensees, public sector disputes, tax recovery cases, insolvency proceedings, criminal matters and service law challenges.

Among his notable achievements, Chetan led arguments before a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court in SLP(C) 21592 of 2013, establishing the principle against “changing the rules of the game after the game has been played” under Article 233(2) of the Constitution. He also serves as panel counsel for the Assam Public Service Commission & the Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited in matters before the Hon’ble Supreme Court matters.

Before the various High Courts in the North East (Gauhati/ Meghayala & Tripura) Chetan regularly undertakes litigation assigmemts for clients in matters pertaining to public tenders, bonded warehouse, Garo Hills Autonomous District Council & NDPS cases.
